Our mission is to empower the younger stroke survivor population by providing a place where we can meet, give a voice to our feelings, support each other and discuss the personal challenges we face on our journey towards recovery. We will do this in a caring and compassionate atmosphere while providing eduactional discussion groups, mentoring and modeling a "Never Quit" mentality.

      “Hey, Ho!!! I'm Scott. I've had a CVA Stoke at 39. Now I have expressive Aphasia(clearing up nicely), and no real Movement of my left arm...My left leg is coming right along. Bottom line? I limp, use a cane and a scooter. I'm a drummer / lead”

      “ Hi Isabel, Thanks for your email. I'm sorry I wasn't able to come the last time I was in Miami (I grew up there but live in NC). I was actually having treatment for a hormonal condition I was just diagnosed with called Acromegaly (http://www.endocrine.niddk.nih.gov/pu...) so my time there was mostly spent getting all kinds of fun tests done. I would have much rather been at the meeting and I hope to be next time! ( I will be in Miami over the holidays). Take care! ”
